Behind everything we do at King’s Church is a shared experience of Jesus' life-changing power. We believe passionately that God is both real and active, and that deciding to embrace his love is the only way to experience true peace, freedom and purpose.

Belonging...

We are transformed by Jesus through belonging to him and his family - the church. Our meetings (on Sundays and through the week) express this deep sense of intimacy with God. We share our lives and our abilities, helping each other in good times and through challenging situations. We share regular stories of God healing physical illnesses, helping people out of debt and bringing mental and spiritual freedom.

...and Growing

We're also transformed by growing in our life with Jesus. As we learn more about God and as we experience his power in life's circumstances, we develop spiritually and get better at reflecting God's perfect character in our relationships.

What happens in your Sunday meetings?

The 'worship' time is for us to express our love and thanks to God. At times, it can be loud and joyful; at other times it is quieter and more reflective. Whatever stage you are at in your relationship with God, we invite you to join in with the worship as much as you feel able. The music is fairly modern but includes some hymns as well. We encourage people to sing along - words are projected onto screens to help you.

The most important person at all our meetings is God himself. This means that meetings are unpredictable - very often, God's power has changed our lives and our plans in unexpected ways. We regularly pray for people to be healed from all sorts of illnesses, and have seen many amazing results with our own eyes. If you need God's power to heal you or to help you overcome life's difficulties, you can expect answers here.

Everyone can take part in our meetings. We encourage people to pray, start a song, share a brief story about how God has helped them, and tell us what they feel God wants to say to us.

The messages on Sunday morning are relevant to life today. We take the teachings of the Bible and turn them into challenges for daily living. We often discuss the Sunday message during the next week's Cell Group meeting.

Is it all suits, ties and fancy hats?

Our style on Sunday morning is very casual. You can expect to see people of all ages wearing jeans, casual shirts etc. Ties are rare, and suits are even more rare! There is no need to feel nervous about what to wear - we want you to feel comfortable as you enjoy the service.

What are cell groups?

Cell groups are small groups of around 6-10 people who meet in homes across Loughborough during the week for friendship, support and community outreach. If you are not already part of a congregation, we'd love you to join us in cell groups.

Why have cell groups?

Many thousands of congregations around the world meet in groups similar to cells. Like them, we recognise that a Sunday meeting is not the only way to help everyone get to know each other and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

What happens at cell group meetings?

Cell meetings tend to be held in someone's home (though parks, pubs and other places can also be good!). Not all cell meetings are the same. But we aim to focus on four things:

Welcome

A chance to get to know each other better through interactive questions and games. After a long day, this can help break the ice and get everyone talking!

Worship

We spend time singing, praying and reflecting on who Jesus is and what he has done for us. The experience is sometimes joyful, sometimes intimate, and everyone can join in.

Word

It's also important to grow in what we know about Jesus. We look together at the Bible, which is a key way God speaks to us. Sometimes we think more deeply about a topic covered on the previous Sunday, to help us apply what we learn.

Witness

As followers of Jesus, we want others to find out how good he is, too. So together we plan ways to meet new friends and to help out in our community.

Every week, we produce a cell outline that helps cell groups to go through the 'Four-Ws' in line with what we teach about on Sundays.
