Mike and Heather Hughes

Although originally from South Wales and Chesterfield, Mike and Heather both ended up in Loughborough in 1993, and got married in Loughborough in 1994. At the time Heather was teaching in a Primary School, and Mike was a full-time evangelist, schools worker, and youth pastor employed by King’s Church.

Heather began full-time Bible College at Covenant College in September 1995, the same college that Mike attended from 1992 to 1994. Her studies were cut short when they moved to York in December 1995 to lead a congregation there.

After 6 fruitful years in York, they moved back to Loughborough in August 2001. Mike now carries overall leadership responsibility to the church and the leadership team.  Mike and Heather have two daughters, Megan and Ellie.

Peter and Barbie Reynolds

Peter and Barbie Reynolds

Born in Sri Lanka and Singapore respectively, they both carry a burden for the continent of Asia. They bring this burden to the church through Peter's eldership to those from other cultures as well as pastoral care to the local church.

In the early 90's they founded ‘Rapport’, an organisation aimed at enhancing marriage relationships, especially in the area of communication. ‘Rapport’ became part of Care for the Family and since then Barbie has pioneered the ‘Bereaved Parents Network’ and ‘Asian Family Matters’ within Care for the Family.

Pete and Barbie pioneered the Bath City Church, where Peter was the senior elder for around 20 years. They moved to Loughborough in 1995, and have brought a wealth of spiritual insight and practical knowledge to the church in Loughborough. They have five children and ten grandchildren.
